Detailed bill of materials and cross-section drawings for all 7 wall types in the MediaVerse Studio Complex. Each wall is engineered for specific STC performance targets.
CUSTOMIZABLE — Gypsum board brand may vary if the board matches the specified thickness (12.5mm or 16mm) and density class. Steel stud manufacturer may vary if gauge and profile match. Rockwool brand may vary if density (kg/m³) and NRC rating meet or exceed the specified values. Screw, clip, and fastener brands may use your preferred supplier provided they meet the load ratings. Finish coats, primer, and paint are entirely at your discretion.
DO NOT ALTER — Wall total thickness per type (W1-W7), number of gypsum layers per face, stud cavity depth, Green Glue CLD compound application (where specified), RSIC clip spacing and type, hat channel orientation, and STC ratings. The layer sequence for each wall assembly is acoustically modelled — omitting or reordering any layer will compromise the rated STC performance.

Never let gypsum touch the floor. Leave a 5mm gap at the base of every gypsum board and seal the gap with acoustic sealant. Direct contact creates a flanking path that can reduce STC by 5-8 points.
Stagger gypsum joints between layers. When using double-layer gypsum, offset the joints by at least 400mm. Aligned joints create weak points that compromise both structural integrity and sound isolation.
Green Glue must cure for 30 days to reach its full rated STC performance. The compound reaches approximately 80% effectiveness within 7 days, but full damping performance requires the complete cure cycle. Plan the construction schedule accordingly.
RSIC clips: do NOT over-tighten screws. The resilient clip must be free to flex. Over-tightening the screw into the stud shorts out the decoupling mechanism and can reduce STC by 10+ points. The clip should wobble slightly when the screw is properly set.
